Love Sun Oven

This is my second SunOven. The first one was given to me (used )and I absolutely loved it but after time, weather, and young visitors not taking good care of it, I had to let it go. What a thrill to have a brand new one !

Waiting on sunshine

Today the sun came out ya. I made Lasagna and it did great. Put my pan inside a clear oven bag and in two hours had brown top and a full hot pan of lasagna. This is my third sun cooker and it will be my favorite. Just have to wait a little longer in Oregon to cook.

the perfect gift

this purchase was a gift for a dear friend who just could not bring himself to pay $500 for a sun oven. we received 2 sun ovens over 20 years ago as gifts, and a few years back purchased a 3rd since our original ovens are starting to deteriorate. they do still work! we use our ovens a lot, although we have not yet tried to dehydrate food or sterilize water! we especially appreciate having them in the hot Arizona summers so we don’t have to heat up our house! we have even taken one camping with us. it’s great to come back from a day of rock climbing or hiking and have dinner ready!

Great for RVers

I live full-time in a RV and saving resources is the best way to stay out longer. The All American Sun Oven saves propane use. I can take my hikes and come back to camp with a great meal ready to eat.
My favorite dish is a green chile chicken stew. I add Masa flour to thicken the stew and add tomatoes, avocado, and lime juice at the end.
If you are on the fence about buying one, just get it. I waited years and regret not getting one sooner. I'm a happy camper now!

The E-Z Sun-track indicators have two holes. As the light of the sun shines through the top hole, a small round dot of light will appear inside the indicator. When the oven is perfectly aligned with the sun, the round dot will be centered over the bottom hole.

Cooks like an oven

If you refocus the oven to the sun every 25 to 30 minutes, cooking times will be very similar to cooking with a conventional oven. Or use it for slow cooking. Put dinner in and point the oven toward where the sun will be approximately halfway through the time you will be gone. Leave, and come home to a tasty, slow-cooked dinner. If you run late, no problem; the Sun Oven will keep your food warm, moist, and fresh for hours.
